Secret Mission
What are you thankful for? Make a list of the things that make you smile, make you laugh or you couldn't be without (and we know now after being in Alert Level 4 we CAN survive without Maccas and KFC!)
S.O.D.A. - Start Of the Day Activity
Daily 5 (Literacy - Reading, Writing and Spelling)
PM Books - I have created accounts for each of you through PM Books and there are sessions set up for you. Your log in details have been sent to your email address so click here and log in. Your reading session will be at the top of the library. You get to your group books by clicking on the image at the top of the book shelf (like the image below). Choose one book to read - you can turn your microphone on and record yourself reading too. It does look like they are books for younger children, there are those but there are books for you too (that's why they are in a group at the top of the library).
OR
Choose something to read from home - a book, a magazine, a comic, a recipe, a set of instructions . . . the choice is yours!

Reading to a Buddy
Read to a pet or your favourite toy! Use lots of expression when you are reading so they understand what the text is about. Remember, it doesn't need to be a book - you might be helping in the kitchen by reading the recipe to someone as they cook/bake or you might be reading the instructions of how to make something. Sometimes instructions don't have words and you need to 'read' the pictures - that's a great skill to practice too!
Listening to Reading
Choose a text from Vooks (the log in is on your sheet from school).
Working with Words
Complete today's handwriting.
Today's focus is the io combination. Use the photo and video below to help you. You can borrow my sentence or create your own that uses as many words with our letter combination as possible.

Last day to work on creating your poetry anthology. An anthology is a collection of poems either by the same author or a group of authors.
Each day you will pick a different type of poem to explore from the examples below. You can use any subject or theme for your poem that you choose. You might use something from your bubble, your favourite colour, your favourite food, a friend or family member, an experience you have had - the choose is yours!
Each of the poetry types below shows you how to put the poem together and gives you an example of what it looks like.

Think about how you present your poems - what can you do to include the 4Bs?

Number of the Day
Just like we do in class - number of the day is here! You can start anywhere and complete the tasks in any order.

Basic Facts
You can practice your basic facts using fact triangles.
Choose your times table and practice your families of facts like the example above. The best order to learn your tables is 2s, 5s, 10s, 3s, 4s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, 11s, 12s.
Either choose a different times table than yesterday or practice different facts from the same times table.

Fractions
Think, Notice, Wonder
Think, notice, wonder is a technique to get you thinking, noticing and wondering about the maths that is all around us in everyday life.
Look and the photo below and record what the image makes you think about, what you notice about the image and what it makes you wonder about. Try to switch your brain to think, notice and wonder about the maths that is connected to the image.

What examples of fractions can you find in your bubble? This could be;
- fractions that are written down (like in a recipe or a set of instructions)
- an object or group of objects that show a fraction (like an apple cut in half).
Make a list or take a photo of what you find.

Last week I asked you to find out if you had anyone in your family who had been involved in a war or was considered and ANZAC. Here is my video about my grandad who went to war during WWII.
ANZAC Celebrations
This year people in New Zealand won't be able to attend ANZAC services like they normally do. We will need to celebrate in our bubbles instead. One idea that people have talked about is standing at the end of your driveway at 6am (when the dawn service would normally start). The last post will be being played on radio stations and you could recite the Ode of Remembrance.
You could make an ANZAC wreath to hang on your fence or letterbox (this is what that egg carton was for!) There are some easy to follow instructions on Crafty Morning's blog.
I finished mine yesterday - it's the one in today's photo!
Or you could make an ANZAC poppy.
